Deborah Creason-Edwards, CPA
Principal
Debi received her CPA certification after graduating from Illinois State University with her bachelor degree in Accountancy. Upon graduation she began her professional career with a regional public accounting firm in Springfield, IL where she stayed until 1984 when she returned to the Belleville area to join the family accounting firm - Creason Accounting Services.
Debi has over twenty-five years of experience assisting small businesses and individuals with their accounting and tax needs. She specializes in federal and state income tax return preparation as well as consulting services for individuals, sole proprietors, corporations, partnerships, LLCs, trusts, and estates with a focus on solving tax and accounting related problems for clients.
She is married to Kevin and resides in Waterloo, IL. They have one son, Brandon, who is serving in the United States Air Force and stationed in Charleston, South Carolina.
David Cimarolli, CPA
Principal
Dave received his CPA certification after graduating from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville with his bachelor degree in Accountancy. He worked with regional public firms in the St. Louis and Belleville area where he gained valuable experience with many aspects of the small business environment including tax, compliance, accounting, record keeping and general business consulting until joining the firm in 1994. At which time, the firm's name was changed to the current name, Creason-Edwards & Cimarolli, P.C.
Dave also has over twenty-five years of experience assisting small businesses and individuals with their accounting and tax needs. He has extensive experience assisting the individual taxpayer with reducing the income filing and compliance burdens, structuring strategies to minimize income tax liabilities and preliminary development of financial plans to achieve client goals.
He is married to Barb and resides in Belleville, IL. They have two daughters, Emily, who attends McKendree University, and Maggie, who attends Northern Illinois University.
Carol Elder, EA
Accountant
Carol obtained her associate's degree from Belleville Area College (currently Southwestern Illinois College). She has been an important member of our firm since she joined the firm in 1985. Carol is a licensed Accredited Business Accountant with the Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation; holds a certification as an Enrolled Agent from the Internal Revenue Service; and is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor, certified in QuickBooks 2009, 2010, and 2011.
Through her experience in servicing clients over the past twenty-five years, Carol has developed a solid understanding and knowledge of individual and business income taxation, accounting, and financial statements.
She is married to Dwight "Dean" and resides in Millstadt, IL. They have two daughters, Ashley, who attends Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and Erica, a junior, who attends Belleville Township High School West.
Kevin Edwards
Kevin received his Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University in 1982. He joined the firm in 2008 after a twenty-five year career as an Insurance Agency owner with one of the largest property and casualty insurance companies in the United States.
Kevin specializes in federal and state income tax return preparation for small businesses and individuals.
Kristy Patterson
Accountant
Kristy obtained her bachelor's degree in Accountancy from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She joined the firm in 2009, after gaining a broad range of experience in performing audits and reviews of privately held companies while working at a regional public accounting firm.
In addition to completing audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements, Kristy also performs compliance and taxation services for clients of the firm.
She has been assigned the responsibility of overseeing the firm's Accounting and Auditing Department, which includes establishing policies and procedures to assure the firm's Accounting and Auditing engagements are performed in accordance with applicable professional standards of the profession.
Julie Powell
Office Administrator
Julie obtained her bachelor's degree in Business Management from Maryville University. She joined the firm in 2011 and has over thirty years of administrative and professional experience. Julie is responsible for all facets of our office administration.
